Legal Counsel, Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary, with banking and litigation experience focused on providing in-house legal advisory services, structuring and negotiation of corporate finance transactions, securitization, debt recovery processes, drafting & negotiation of contractual commercial agreements, research and advising on banking and finance matters and managing in-house legal function. Ann attained Bachelors of Laws (LL.B) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology; Kenya in 2013 and a Post Graduate diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law in 2014; thereafter in 2016, she enrolled at Visions Institute of Professionals where she successfully pursued CPS Section 1-6 (CPS-K). She was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in 2016.
Ann has served in various capacities, both in private practice and the corporate world where she has managed to gain experience in various areas of practice including but not limited to involvement in preparation of the offer letters, agreements to lease and leases, negotiating the terms of the agreements and registration of the leases with regards to a development project in Karen of a mixed use complex “Mall” comprising premises for shops, offices, restaurants and similar accommodation together with related amenities and facilities; securitization; advising on labour related issues, ensuring compliance by companies with laws, regulations and international best practices in order to create an environment where controls, compliance and ethics are at the heart of the business as well as Legal research and drafting of opinion on various commercial, corporate and intellectual property matters.
