SYLVESTER MBITHI MULI (Mr.)

Sylvester is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Professional Mediator (CPI) and a trained International Investigator by the Institute for International Criminal Investigations (IICI), The Hague, The Netherlands. Sylvester works as a Senior Legal Officer at the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC), Legal, Complaints and Investigation and Redress Department and in charge of the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) Program of the Commission and has filed, defended and/or appeared for the Commission in numerous cases relating to its mandate and largely on Constitutional and Human Rights Law, Equality and Non-discrimination, Affirmative Action and Inclusion Minorities, the marginalised and the most vulnerable in society. He has considerable experience Public Interest Litigation, Arbitration, Mediation, Legislating Drafting, Law and Policy development and review, Constitutional Human Rights Law and Practice, Gender Equality concept, equality and inclusion principles including Affirmative Action, Inclusion and protection of the minorities and marginalised in society. He has also undertaken numerous Investigative missions and public inquiries on various topical areas related to the mandate of NGEC.
